For the purpose of studiing regional ratios (differences) and equilibria the horizontul spatial model is emploied, by which the equivalent elements (e.g. labour force) of the regional units situated ciose to each other and their differences can be numerically expressed. Besides the so-called vertical model can also be given very important role. The latter is able to reveal the quantitative relations among the elements of different quality (e.g. work-places, labour- forces, residences etc.) within the regional units. For calculations of the vertical model one has to make use of correlation and regression analysis. By this vertical equilibria conditions may be numerically expressed in pairs of factors. Values of the regional units belonging to the equilibria states can be determined in more variants.
